Worship

Holy Eucharist is celebrated twice each Sunday.  At 8:00 am, the service is a spoken Rite I service.  The 10:30 choral service is usually Rite II.

Additional weekly services are:

Compline at 7:30 pm each Wednesday, a very brief (15-20 minutes), lay led,
        contemplative service.
This is preceeded at 6:00 pm by a simple soup or salad supper
and meditation once a month during most of the year, and weekly during Lent.

Throughout the year special services such as Christmas Eve, Lessons and Carols, Thanksgiving, Ash Wednesday and Lenten services are offered.

Betsy Schmidt serves as our organist and choir master.  During the summer months, we enjoy professional guest musicians and soloists during the 10:30 am service.

A nursery is provided for children under first grade during the 10:30 am service.

Opportunities for the people of St. Mary's to use their gifts to enhance and lead the worship are:

Acolyte - serve at the altar and assist the priest

Altar Guild - responsible for the sacred vessels, vestments and appearance of the worship space.

Choir
- leads the congregation in singing

Chalicist
- administers the chalice and leads the prayers of the people

Eucharistic Visitor
- brings the sacrament to the homebound

Greeter
- Welcomes worshippers distributing bulletins and brings the bread and wine to the altar, provides hospitality and oversees well-being of congregation

Lay Minister - Lead Compline or Morning Prayer services

Lay Reader - Read the Old and New Testament lessons and Psalm during services
