From the Rector: The Reverend Daphne Messersmith

Our community of faith at The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen is a loving and caring one with members from all walks of life.  We are a relatively small congregation, numbering about sixty households, yet we have been able to accomplish numerous large-scale parish projects and outreach ministries that serve the people of Juniata and Perry counties.  Over the past twenty years, we have sponsored the construction of two housing complexes for low-income elderly/certified disabled persons that together provide eighty apartments, thus providing safe, secure and affordable housing for our neighbors.  Our parish is a friendly congregation grounded in worship, stewardship, fellowship and service to others and one that is steeped in promoting Christian values and practices that enrich the lives of all persons.
